Laura and Joanathan

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

Laura and Joanathan arrived by Laura’s family boat and were married under the setting sun in the beautiful Ceremony Garden at the Boathouse at Sunday Park. The guests enjoyed fabulous food and a fun wedding reception with music by Party Time Entertainment http://www.partytimedjentertainment.com. The wedding cake was from the Desserterie. Congratulations, Laura and Jonathan!

Richmond Showcase

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Joanne and I had a great time at the Richmond Showcase (Bridal Show) on Sunday. We enjoyed meeting the brides and grooms who stopped by to say hello. We also had a chance to share the news of the August 14 2009 opening of our new location: the Boathouse at Rocketts Landing.

I have attached a photo of our exhibit. The floral display and booth design was by Debbie Mooney of Lasting Florals www.lastingflorals.com.

Crab “puppies” and Manakintowne Farms Tomatoes

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Heirloom-tomato-saladbOur chef has two new appetizer items on the menu this weekend.

Crab “puppies” are fresh seasoned crabmeat, red peppers, scallions and  ricotta, combined with cornmeal and buttermilk, then fried to a golden brown. Served with remoulade.

And for a limited time, we have a favorite summertime salad: tomatoes and mozzarella. Our version features heirloom tomatoes and microgreens  from Manakintowne Farms, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and Parmigiano Reggiano.  While they last!
